Lines of saltAmagansett Sea Salt is premium, unrefined finishing salt, crafted entirely by hand in small batches from the Atlantic Ocean. Our process is entirely traditional, natural and outdoors, requiring only the sea, sun, wind, and patience. We do not boil or oven-dry seawater. We do not trap the process in a greenhouse or a factory building. We use no chemicals or anti-caking agents.

By carefully balancing solar evaporation and exposure to the crisp, clean ocean breezes, seawater slowly forms into white salt crystals having a mild, briny yet sweet flavor and a soft distinctive crunch. Our hand-cultivated American-made salt is a moderately coarse sea salt, best described as a cross between "sel gris" and "traditional" salt. It is valued for its briny taste of the Northeast and the Atlantic, for its pleasingly distinct texture (not too hard and not too soft), and for its beautiful grain shape, size, and color.

Dress your foods with a light sprinkle. Go light - depending on the food, 1, 2, or 3 grains per bite of Amagansett Sea Salt is all that is needed. Salt boosts and intensifies foods' natural flavors. Amagansett Sea Salt is generally used as a finishing salt applied directly to plated foods to bring out and amplify these flavors and to add visual interest with a pop of texture.
